This year, I have had the privilege of doing Book Signings at some of the largest events and venues in London and last weekend, I headed to another one. Billy Joins the Circus arrived at Olympia London, for the second time this year, at London Film and Comic Con. Honestly, sometimes I have to pinch myself to believe these things are real!
I spent two days in the Artists Alley, with my illustrator, Jenika Ioffreda, and we had such a fun weekend. I have taken part in quite a few Comic Con conventions this year and I have enjoyed all of them.
One of the things I love about these conventions is the community feel. I wasn't expecting this at such large venues but everyone is so friendly and the same people, fans as well as artists and stallholders, seem to pop up at most of the events, which is lovely.
London Film and Comic Con is a fantastic event with stars from TV and Film and lots of stalls full of memorabilia. Jenika and I were kept very busy throughout the whole weekend but I did manage to take a quick wander about to look at some of the amazing artwork on display and the stalls.
We also saw a few famous faces including Jamie Campbell Bower, who walked right passed our stall and Matt Smith, who seemed to be the talk of the show!
Jenika and I have one last convention for this year coming up this Sunday at London Comic Mart at The Royal National Hotel.
