I was delighted to be invited back, for the third year, to Brompton Annual Open Day! Just like last year, it was very hot, but there are lots of lovely trees in Brompton Cemetery providing shade and everyone was grateful for this. Brompton Chapel hosted two of my Storytimes and the Music Audio Stories stall, so luckily, I kept cool all day long.

My Storytime has taken me to many amazing places but I have to say, Storytime inside Brompton Chapel is particularly magical. The acoustics inside the chapel mean that my Music Audio Stories reverberate in a special kind of way that is truly wonderful to hear. It also means that my singing during Billy's song sounds quite nice too!

There was a steady stream of people visiting the chapel all day long which was lovely. I was kept quite busy signing picture books and chatting with parents. Some parents knew me from my library visits and enquired about my second book! I can confirm that it is in the making and will be available soon...

Storytime with Anna Christina

My Storytime was based on my latest picture book, Billy Joins the Circus. The children who took part greatly enjoyed my book reading, had fun singing and dancing along to the music audiobook and loved creating their own drawings of the story and characters. Once again, seeing children enjoying Billy Joins the Circus is both thrilling and heartwarming. I feel overjoyed that the picture book is as popular as the Music Audio Story.

Brompton Annual Open Day was so much fun and everyone had a great day out. I would definitely recommend attending this event next year if you missed it. There's something for everyone in a stunning location full of history. BIG thank you to Mary and well done to The Friends of Brompton Cemetery for hosting such a lovely event.
