Picking up "rubbish" and buzzing about at MCM Comic Con!
Super fun Storytime at MCM London Comic Con yesterday! It was lovely to be back in The Treehouse singing and dancing along to my stories with the children and seeing my MCM friends again. I began with a read-aloud of my picture book, Billy Joins the Circus, followed by what I now call, 'Round of Questions' where I encourage children to say their answers to my questions into the microphone. They enjoy doing this, especially when I encourage them to sing some of the lines in the songs! 
For the first time at MCM, I performed Litter Bugs! I brought my little yellow bin and "rubbish". During the story, when the bugs are singing and putting their rubbish in the bin, I throw my rubbish on the floor and invite the children to pick it up and put it in the bin. This is surprisingly exciting for children and I love watching them enthusiastically do this task. It's a great story for highlighting an important message in a fun way.
